Shabsai Shuchatowitz

In September 2010, my wife Bracha and I, along with our three young children moved back to my wife's hometown of Chicago to settle and grow our family in. Shortly thereafter I took the position as assistant Executive Director and then Executive Director of Joan Dachs Bais Yaakov - Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi. JDBY-YTT is the largest Jewish Orthodox elementary school system in the Midwest, with now over 1,000 students, over 400 families, and over 100 teacher and staff members. Managing the finances and operations of such a large school system, as well as the opportunity to meet, help, and serve the needs of so many wonderful families in our neighborhood and beyond, was possibly the best introduction to Chicago and its warm hearted people that I could have asked for.

In late 2011, after a year of seeing families struggle to balance their budgets and many financial needs, with some even to meet their tuition obligations, I decided that I wanted to dedicate myself to helping families and businesses meet their personal financial goals and obligations. One of the many challenges I already knew families struggled with was the growing cost of healthcare needs and the medical insurance to offset this, and  many did not have adequate and affordable health and life insurance to meet their needs. This lead me directly to the often misunderstood and complicated world of finance and insurance, to really try to simplify the complex for people, and to offer honest advise about solutions and options available today.

After talking with a number of experienced and independent financial advisors and insurance brokers, who suggested I seek training from the finest and strongest insurance company standing today, I joined the New York Life Insurance Company. New York Life's core values are financial strength, integrity, and humanity, which closely mirrored my own values and what I wanted in a company that I'd be working with to meet people's financial needs and goals. Within a year I received the prestigious Life Foundation Award for insuring over 100 people with life insurance, and the most in my class. In less than two years I was the top producer of life insurance policies for all new agents in the entire Greater Chicago and Midwest.

By the end of 2013 I had already won a dozen Agents of the Month awards, the West Central USA Eagle  Award for the top new agent, and qualified to join the coveted Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of financial professionals , is recognized globally as the standard of excellence for life insurance sales performance in the insurance and financial services industry.   As our business continued to rapidly grow with hundreds of new clients added each year, in 2015 I won the National Eagle Award for the Agent of the Year for life insurance, and jumped from being a member of MDRT to joining Court of the Table and Top of the Table, their highest tier of membership.

In 2014 I attained  the designation as CLTC (R) certified in long term care, focusing on designing solutions for retirement for pre-retirees and retirees.
